I worked on a project for Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce and Churches Conservation Trust aimed at creating a seamless booking system for co-working spaces via a membership model. The goal was to provide an efficient and user-friendly platform for diverse users, including entrepreneurs, community groups, and learners. By defining user groups and addressing their needs, we ensured a user-centric solution that aligned with the business objective of expanding the physical presence of the Chamber of Commerce. This project focused on fostering a collaborative environment at St. John's Church, Lancaster by connecting businesses from Lancaster and Morecambe with the wider community.
My Learnings
Working on this project taught me how to effectively balance user needs with business objectives, creating solutions that serve both stakeholders. I learned the importance of conducting thorough research to better understand the pain points and preferences of various user groups. The iterative process highlighted the value of continuous refinement and feedback integration. I gained experience in developing accessible systems that cater to a diverse range of users. Finally, I enhanced my collaboration skills, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a well-aligned and functional design outcome.
