HappyMama, a wellness platform powered by Harman RCP and created by REACH, is the first and only fully comprehensive biopsychosocial platform dedicated to maternity care. It offers continuous support for women during all stages of motherhood, from pregnancy to postnatal care. The platform focuses on digital solutions that facilitate constant monitoring, education, and engagement across multiple platforms. As part of this project, I designed a responsive site that provides seamless access to resources and tools for maternal health and wellness, ensuring optimal user experience on both desktop and mobile devices.
My Learnings
Working on the HappyMama platform was an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience, as I sought to advocate for the best possible user experience while balancing the project's business needs. It required a deep understanding of maternity care and how digital platforms can offer crucial support to users. Throughout this project, I learned the importance of clear and transparent communication, particularly when working with cross-functional teams like developers, product managers, and healthcare professionals.
Additionally, I gained valuable insights into leveraging user-centered data to inform design decisions, ensuring that every aspect of the platform aligned with the needs of expecting mothers and healthcare providers. Mitigating risk through a staged approach was crucial in this project, enabling the team to test, iterate, and enhance the user experience incrementally while maintaining the overall vision. This project had a significant impact on my approach to designing for health and wellness platforms and strengthened my ability to navigate complex challenges while creating meaningful, user-centered solutions.
